Hello!
My name is Jenna Buchan. I am an animal lover, outdoor enthusiast with a strong love for chocolate. I am a Senior, majoring in Marketing and Finance. William and Mary is my dream school and I am honored to be a part of the Tribe community. I am very excited to be taking this course and cannot wait to work with you on our upcoming project.
I chose to pursue marketing as my major because I am very passionate and interested in advertising and promotion. I find it intriguing and challenging to promote services and products in a way that appeals to consumers. Marketing encompasses areas such as psychology, art and philosophy. I also believe that there is a need for marketing in ever industry. Marketing is an essential skill to use and master in the equestrian industry when promoting, buying and selling horses/product.
I took Consumer Insight to Innovation last semester where we focused on the housing market. That course sparked my interest in innovation. I am excited to take this course and improve economical, social or environmental sustainability. I am very passionate about the environment and would love to focus on environmental sustainability. Without sustainability we cannot maintain our quality of life as human beings, the diversity of life on Earth or Earth’s ecosystems.
I am an international show jumper. I own five horses, (Narka, Puppy, Cadell, Romeo and Luagana) three of which I actively compete across the United States. Some places I’ve competed in are Florida, New York, California, Ohio, Europe, Paris, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. From September 28-October 28 I will be flying back and forth from VA to OH every Thursday/Sunday to compete at the World Equestrian Center.
Thank you all for taking the time to get to know me and I look forward in getting to know you!
